Career Planning Assessment

About the Service

We Pave the way for Individuals to thrive in their chosen vocations.

At Dominion Placement Services, we believe that finding the right employment fit goes beyond skills and qualifications. Our Career Planning Assessment is a crucial diagnostic tool highlighting the intricate relationship between individuals and their work environments.

The Career Planning Assessment has been specifically designed for individuals with developmental disorders, acknowledging that various abilities are frequently contingent upon environmental variables. Rather than exclusively concentrating on job performance, the Career Planning Assessment explores how an individual interacts with diverse factors present within a work environment. This sophisticated methodology facilitates a precise evaluation of the relationships between an individual’s performance and the environmental factors that affect it.

Conducted over a span of 20 hours, the assessment is a pivotal step in identifying barriers to employment. By understanding how environmental variables impact an individual, we can pinpoint the ideal job fit, setting the stage for successful job placement and long-term employment maintenance.

The assessment include:

  • Accessibility and Transport Facilities: We evaluate the accessibility and availability of transport facilities, ensuring that the work environment is conducive to the individual’s needs.
  • Skills Assessment: Through assessments in at least three work or mock-work environments, we gauge the individual’s capabilities within different settings.
  • Alignment with Interests and Goals: Our assessments are meticulously tailored to align with the individual’s interests and employment aspirations.
  • Self-Assessment: We encourage a self-assessment component, ensuring the person being assessed actively participates in the process.
